SonShine Camp (Special Needs)
(Ages 8 and up) During this week for people with developmental disabilities, campers will participate in many activities alongside their trained staff member or servant volunteer. Activities will include Chapel, Bible studies, hikes, swimming, arts and crafts, sing-a-longs, nightly campfires, and a dance. Min. 8/Max 22
The SonShine Camp program is designed for persons who have developmental disabilities. This program provides a quality camping experience in a safe, Christian environment. Our trained staff members are committed to ensuring that each camper receives personal guidance and assistance as needed. Due to the nature of the program and facilities, some physical restrictions apply.
All participants must be ambulatory with the ability to handle walking long distances, as well as up and down hills. It is also necessary that all campers be able to take care of personal hygiene needs. Once all necessary forms are received, the camper’s application will be reviewed to determine whether SonRise can provide the most positive experience for the camper.
