Camper Bus Transportation

Transportation will be available to and from camp with pickups in Hicksville, Bronxville, Fishkill, and Albany. Transportation will be provided by trained and experienced drivers from camp. Please indicate your choice on the program registration form.

NOTE: Round trip bus service is not available for Pee Wee, Kinder, SonShine, or other special programs. Min 6 campers must be registered for transportation each trip.

Cost from Hicksville, Bronxville, & Fishkill - Round Trip $85/week.

One Way $45/ride.

Cost from Albany - Round Trip $60/week.

One Way $30/ride.

Financial Information
  • The full price for a week of Youth Camp is $325. Because specialty camps often require extra supplies, extra staffing, and occasionally transportation, additional charges apply to these camps.
  • If you register your camper and have paid your deposit for an overnight camp session by March 31, your camper will receive a free theme t-shirt (value $12).
  • If your registration and full payment for an overnight camp session are received by May 1, your camper will receive a free theme t-shirt (value $12).
  • Campers who have never attended an overnight summer program at SonRise and are registered by May 1 will receive a free theme t-shirt (value $12).
  • Families registering more than one child for camp or registering one child for more than one session of overnight camp will receive a $25 discount on each session of camp.
  • A current SonRise overnight camper who brings one or more new overnight campers (have never attended an overnight summer program at SonRise) will receive 10% off their session fees for each new camper registered (up to ten new campers). New campers will receive a free theme t-shirt. Campers must be registered by May 1 to take advantage of this opportunity. Initial full payment is required; refund will be issued after all campers are registered and paid.
  • Many congregations also supplement the cost for campers to attend. Check with your pastor to see if your congregation provides this service.
  • If paying by check please make it payable to SonRise Lutheran Ministries. There will be a $35.00 charge for any returned checks.

Check in for all week-long Youth Camp programs will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday. Pick up for campers is 9:00 AM on Saturday. It is important that pick up is timely so that staff has time to prepare for the next session.

Registrations, camper information form, medical form, and full payments for all campers must be received by June 15.

Cancellation Policy
A full refund minus a $50 processing fee will be provided up to 30 days before the registered camp. No refunds will be granted within 30 days of the registered camp except in cases of family death or illness. All requests for refunds must be made in written form.

Canteen Information

Campers will have two stops at the canteen during each full camp day. The canteen stocks a variety of clothing, counselor trading cards, and other small SonRise souvenirs. Typical canteen amounts for week-long programs are $10-$20. Any money not used will be refunded at the end of the week.

Theme T-Shirt
T-shirts with this year’s logo are available for purchase through the camp store. Pre-order your theme shirt for $10 by filling in the amount on the appropriate line on the registration form. Pre-orders MUST be received by May 1.
After May 1, t-shirts will be available for purchase in the camp store for $12 when your child is at camp.
With the exception of pre-orders, we cannot guarantee sizes to be in stock. Order early to be sure you have a shirt that fits!
